I was born and grow up in a concrete jungle of New York City. I rode my bike on pavement, pitched pennies against a concrete wall, spun my top on a concrete pavement, play stick ball or stoop ball on pavement between cars and saw a little square of sky between tall buildings. An occasional visit to a park or a beach was my interaction with nature.
The introduction to a totally different life experience was the first day I rode a horse.
Horses do best in a natural environment with grass, trees and space, and once they are in your life you are addicted to the same things.
